Colonic Hydrotherapy at the Dental Studio
What is Colonic Irrigation?
Colonic irrigation, also known as colon hydrotherapy, is a safe and painless procedure
that has been used for thousands of years.
Accumulated matter is gently released from the colon by introducing warm filtered

Special massage techniques help to soften the deposits and cleanse the colon.

What happens during colon hydrotherapy?
Prior to your first colon hydrotherapy treatment, we will ask you to complete our
Health Questionnaire. Please click here to download a copy.
Built in March 2008, we have a brand new dedicated colonic hydrotherapy suite in
a private part of the building.
Kelly-Jo, our fully trained and qualified therapist will immediately put you at
ease. Once you’ve changed into the disposable gown provided, she’ll gently pass
warmed and filtered water through your system. Kelly-Jo may carry out a gentle massage
of your tummy to help loosen any compacted matter. The procedure is not painful.
You will feel relaxed and light after your treatment. You’ll probably sleep well
that night and wake the next morning refreshed. There are no side or after effects,
you can continue with your daily routine after treatment.
Clients on the first visit are sometimes concerned about needing to run to the loo.
This is highly unlikely - most clients resume normal bowel activity 24-48 hours
after treatment.
Cost £60 for an hour. Call us today on 01924 822097 to discover the amazing benefits
of colonic irrigation for yourself.
Are there circumstances when colonic treatment cannot be performed?
Yes. Conditions such as active infections, active inflammation (such as diverticulitis,
Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis), a painful fissure or painful haemorrhoids
mean treatment cannot be comfortably carried out until they are healed or in remission.
Diseases such as congestive heart disease, severe uncontrolled hypertension, severe
anaemia, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, severe haemorrhaging and colo-rectal carcinoma
are also absolute contra-indications for treatment as are some physical conditions
such as severe abdominal or inguinal hernias which cannot be easily reduced.
Treatments are also not performed during the first three months of pregnancy, and
not at all during complicated pregnancies.
